
Longleaf Pondweed (Potamogeton nodosus) is sometimes classified as a submergent or floating-leaf plant. This species, like several other potamogetons, have submergent leaves and floating ones. The submergent leaves of Long-leaf Pondweed are 10-30 cm long and 1-3 cm wide. The form while the plant is still completely submerged, and when the floating leaves are present, the submerged leaves decay or are inconspicuous.
