White Beak-Rush Rhynchospora alba

White Beak-Rush (Rhynchospora alba) is a small grass-like member of the sedge family.  Its small white flowers stand on thin stems above the sphagnum moss and small herbs of bogs, giving an accent to the wetland scene. I can’t put my finger on it, but there is something beautiful about its small, understated form.
